4 wheel drive, can i change the split?

is there anyway of changing the split on a rs4? does the transfer box work by clutches and a pump or is it solid fixed?


what is the split ratio by the way ?

I think the ratio is 60/40 rear bias.
The centre differential is a torsen ATB with 4:1 ratio so theory can go to a 80/20 split depending on traction conditions.

It's mechanical so no reason you couldn't change to a different unit with different settings. Also you can get differential adjuster oil which changes the characteristics slightly too although I think this is more for plate type differentials.
