Of course he didn't didn't even have the courtesy to say he wasn't going to make it. After my last message to him some 6 weeks ago and no reply after he had posted he had been locked up for a while it was fairly obvious he was never going to show his face.

The first thing that I have to say about ERT'10, is that we all got back safe & sound...this is followed up by having some great company which made this trip complete.

Yes, it was fast & furious (in all senses) but was all well worth it.

The only thing that slightly 'blotted the copy book' was the sight of kris's RS on the back of a low loader... :( - but the positive to this, was how he kept up with our cars in his Astra - (aka the RS246 Service Vehicle) - Opel should offer him a job as a test driver

Highlights of the trip were the (1) Ring (see nurburgring) (2) Stelvio Pass - so much snow 8), (3) the Livigno Tunnel - this links Switzerland with Italy & is of single track, 3.5km long, 2.5m wide & sounds ****ing amasing on full chat when you are following another RS with your windows down...(4) The Audi Factory Tour - the R8 is really hand built & (5) Lake Garda - beautiful lake surrounded by fabulous mountains.

Would I go again?...silly question :nogarors4:

Would I change anything for next time? Yes - not to lug 4 extra wheels/tyres & jack around Europe

Last but not least - probably wouldn't have gone on such a trip if it had not been organised. A big thanks to Graeme :jump_clap:

A few more highlights...

(6) Following Patrick's arse (car arse) & THE SOUND of his exhaust - my ears are still bleeding (7) The sight of Graeme's well cleaned Sprint Blue Avant in the Italian sun (8 Wonderful European roads & drivers - built for RS4's & fun with drivers that pull in after they have overtaken (what's wrong with Brit drivers?)

A couple of more points...

Walkie talkie's invaluable for comms between the cars.

The sight of RS4's on the road - book yourself a week off for next year...

First of all, big thanks to Graeme for organising it all. It can’t be easy rustling up a load of strangers to a week on the continent so thanks again Graeme, excellent work.

I believe Chris is having fun and games with the repair to his motor and still doesn’t know when he will get it back. I understand he picked up a Ford Focus for the journey from Dover to Hull……nice!

I have bundles of pictures Graeme, let us know if you’re going to start a new thread or continue with this one?
