Fuel costs to the Alps
RE: Fuel
I did Verbier last July for a spot of mountain biking. Averaged 21 mpg (cruising 85-90) and spent £255.46 on fill ups for BOTH ways. Do not forget tolls, which cost £86.32 again for Both ways.
Would of been cheaper flying - but the drive up into the mountains was worth the extra money !!

RE: Fuel
Thanks for the advice guys, working on about 350 in fuel plus tolls........
to be honest not really trying to make it more economical than flying & transfers or hire car..... I just think there is no job better suited to an RS4 than a blast to the alps and I should definitely do this trip at least once!!!
Anyone know a nice swanky hotel around Dijon that will keep the misses happy??
Cheers

Re: Fuel
It would be a good idea to check that the Stelvio has re-opened after the winter.caldy wrote:Only 72 days before the Euro Trip! Minimum of 1800 miles, plus The Ring, plus numerous goes on the Stelvio, equals mucha gasolina! No chance of 22mpg coz 'Captain Slow' I'm not. Perhaps Audi will let us fill up at their factory pump????
