I did Verbier last July for a spot of mountain biking. Averaged 21 mpg (cruising 85-90) and spent £255.46 on fill ups for BOTH ways. Do not forget tolls, which cost £86.32 again for Both ways.

Would of been cheaper flying - but the drive up into the mountains was worth the extra money !!

Thanks for the advice guys, working on about 350 in fuel plus tolls........

to be honest not really trying to make it more economical than flying & transfers or hire car..... I just think there is no job better suited to an RS4 than a blast to the alps and I should definitely do this trip at least once!!!

Anyone know a nice swanky hotel around Dijon that will keep the misses happy??

Can't you bring back some drink and fags (for personal use) to pay for your trip, You can fit more in an avant!!
