Re: RS4 Vs. EVO X 360
As Jonathan says, only you can make the final decision however if I were in your shoes I'd hold onto the Audi.
Anyway, I recently upgraded to an RS4 from a rally bred variant of road car - the Escort Cossie.
I did consider Evo ownership (albeit for all of 5 minutes) but there was quite a lot putting me off them:
1. Residual value and depreciation - the prices on these things will drop like a stone. IMO, RS4 prices will plateau soon and hold a strong value in years to come.
2. Build quality, German vs Jap; its a no brainer really.
3. Interior - even my 16 year old Ford Escort had a better built, higher quality interior than a lot of the modern Jap rally machines.
4. Rarity value. Evo 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 etc over a how many year period?
5. V8 vs Straight 4.
These are just my opinions but personally - even after having only owned the Audi for less than a week, I think as a long term commitment you'd regret going for the Evo.
Erm..... he's a sales rep, what else did you expect him to say!RobbieRay wrote:The EVO sales rep said it drives very well, not like the old EVO's that drove like karts, more refined and 'Audi like' is what he said.

Had a blast against one of these on sunday and it left me
, great looking and very fast, that said though when I was looking at getting the RS4 i also considered getting one of these BUT the quality and class let it down unfortunatly, just my opinion.
Performance wise it'll be wicked fun, not to sure about reliabilty though.
