Oil changes

Really don't want to bother doing it myself. The car's a luxury so I don't want to be crawling under it! Also, I have zero experience of working on cars so I think starting off on a high-end sports car isn't the best idea. Plus, I'm really busy and utterly lazy!
Phoned Bromley Audi who quoted £273.14 and Camberley Audi quoted £316.73. Camberley mentioned a full lubrication service using 100% synthetic oil which apparently is longer lasting. Is this the best type, or is it the stuff they put in if your car if on the long-life service plan (as mine is). Does a lubrication service cover more than just an oil and filter change?
Sorry for the dumb questions - grateful for advice.

Cant remember how much I paid for my oil service now. Did you call Bexley Audi, would much rather have them do it than Bromley.
When the car was purchased they should set the car up to the owners driving requirement, this will dictate what oil service, i.e. Long life, you can change out of this at any time, just needs to be reset, I did this at Audi. if you drive it in a sporty way then go for the 10k service (5k intervals will benefit the engine, esp if tracked), not the long life. I do have the paraphernalia somewhere on here...

P_G, Is it easy enough to re-align & fit the undertray or have you modded it with a cut-out such as Arthur did? And, do you buy your filter, sump plug washer from your local dealer or elsewhere?P_G wrote:DIY, it is not that difficult. Just get yourself a 10 litre oil drainage tray can from Amazon for £18, the rest is fairly easy to do with a decent socket set trolley jack( 2 ideal, one for either side) or ramps, allen key and 40 minutes of your time.
Yes that's right, that was like 2 years ago now wasn't it? Was speaking to someone regarding this and apparently it did not happen according to the story, every thing tat happened was justified, as I would not use Bexley's because of this incident, however I have come to learnt other wise, I took my car there twice for some work, and found the guys there very very helpful and more importantly knowledgeable regarding the RS4. AndyUK911 from this forum used to take his car there on a regular basis for his cars 5k oil change.ClioDriver wrote:Didn't call Bexley Audi. Didn't they have a scandal recently regarding a customer's RS4 which the staff took out for a hooning while they were supposed to be working on it?

Taking off the refitting the undertray is a 5 minute job each time, just a series of retaining screws and slots in. Bought filter and washer from TPS, filter £16, washer 60p, oil £80, oil drain tank one off cost £18, so max price £115 as opposed to what was quoted before, £273? That nearly as much as AVS1. Follow the sticky at the top of the RS4 forum, it is dead easy. Even I can do it. and the 5W-30 oil used is fully synthetic so I don't know what Camberley Audi are on about.karl wrote:P_G, Is it easy enough to re-align & fit the undertray or have you modded it with a cut-out such as Arthur did? most auto parts store will take it for free...why?
because it can be sold and reused for various things: heating, power generation, etc.
the undertray isn't bad on a lift, but on your back on the floor can be a hassle...it goes off/on pretty quickly (5 minutes off is correct, but in my experience it takes a 'bit' longer to get back on) the 1/4 turns on the brake ducts are the fiddly ones...
