I'm 28 with 6 years no claims, 1 accident (not at fault) and 3 points (SP30). The car is an RS4 Avant with Tracker, parked on the driveway, mileage up to 12k/year and pay just under £750 per year (with protected no claims and 3rd party on any other car) with Privilege.

I'm mid-40s, wife and I both have an SP30, car on drive in Berkshire, max no claims, £400 excess, cost was £435 with MoreThan back in March. I do have a Tracker, though, which may have helped. Although also have a "rural" postcode which probably helps even more!

I'm 53 with 65% protected no claims (one accident 3 years ago, total £2k to fix bumpers of both cars), 1xSP30 (3 points), parked on drive, no Tracker - pay £550 to MoreThan with £350 excess.

I live in a 'high risk' postcode area and find that many insurers simply won't touch me.
I've held a license for 10 years, 3 points from an SP30, no accidents, 5 years no claims and my S4 is heavily modified (which bumps up the premium significantly I might add!).

I've been with Noel Dazely for 3 years, but the only other broker which has been any use is Brentacre who were recommended by a fellow forum member who also lives in 'da bronx'. Give them a go.

The premium you're being quoted is very high, but if being matched it must be that fault accident or your postcode, of which nothing you can do about.

I'm 39 with MAX NCD, 6 points, good postcode, 18k miles per annum, protected NCB, business use & garaged & mine is well under £500 this year.

Postcode or faults may be still its very high. Try directline a go. Do it online and get a quote for 9yrs NCD, should be max around 1.2K

DirectLine gave me a surprisingly decent deal too.
I'm 39, with 9 years NCD, 0 points (touches wood) and car is ungaraged in North London.
£700ish.
Also allowed me to transfer full NCD onto wife's policy.

Either i'm an old git (tick - 42) or live in the sticks (tick) - i ran a quote for a 6000 miles pa 2007 RS4 Avant for me & mrs - clean licence (somehow) & garaged

£223.00 annual with £350 excess (Aviva), which is £3 less than my R32. Worth giving them a try ?

I cant believe how cheap some of your premiums are for such a performance car. Mind blowing, especially RS4Kev's £223...that just takes the biscuit. I did a search on insurance and tried some companies suggested on previous posts but to no avail. Some good companies such as noel daz, swiftcover etc wont quote if car is over £30k. Cos there is a high chance i will modify car via lowering (i know it will look so so much better), might just go with A-plan(groupama) as premiums dont go up by much compared with other so called mod friendly policies. Then hopefully next year i will be in a better position to get a better price

Im tired of looking for a more competitive quote now. Gone brain dead. Hopefully i will be much better prepared next year.
