Leasing Help

Post by ShaneyB » Mon Aug 24, 2009 10:17 am

Hi all,
I've been an Audi 'S' owner for 9 years, S3, B5 S4 Avant and now a B6 S4 saloon and want to make the jump to the RS4 (at last). I was going to just buy a B5 RS4 but quite rightly the missus thinks I'm mental going back to a car with double my mileage and 4 years older but I can't afford to buy a B7 RS4 outright. Has anyone on here leased one who could give me an idea of costs, company used and if it would be a good option for me.

Would really appreciate some feedback guys.

Cheers in advance.
Shane

Not leased myself but wouldn't know personally I would try and get something more affordable until I could afford it. I've been saving and watching out for a B7 RS4 for 3 years and finally got it back in June. Thats just me though!...it was worth the wait

The leasing market has signifcantly changed in the last 12 months as was expected. I have mine on a personal lease and having tried to renegotiate the rate with falling BoE rates have found that finance deals are even more expensive and that my deal, albeit some 5.75% above BoE is very competitive.

Lombard Finance is typically the chepaest car finance house but saying that the stealers are giving some great rates away on certain models; Audi were quoting 1.9% APR on a deal for an A3 for example, it would just be to see whether they would ttranfer one of their deals onto a used RS4.

I suspect not but may be worth trying.

If you want a firm to source a car and arrage finance for you I would recommend www.PitstopAutomotive.co.uk and ask for Iain.

Shagga, that's a great deal. Snap it up. I'm looking at refinancing mine at the moment. Do you mind telling me where you've had that quoted so that I can give them a call please? Ta.

I was about to ask how many months that was over and what the balloon payment was?

Any of these deals can have fabulous headline figures, depends on whether there is a mileage cap, how many mnths the lease is and how much you want to backload into the deal. With interest rates pretty high at present I don't believe the deals are anywhere near as good as they were 12 months ago which is a real shame.

I agree,
There was a 10k mileage cap and then charged 15p per mile if I went over that.
