I have read a lot of negative comments regarding REVO. I just want to say that I was recommended to a REVO specialist (APD located in Dorset) by a contact within Audi at Poole. I wanted to unleash some of the subdued power which is limited by the factory ecu settings but keep the car relatively standard without having to upgrade brakes, discs, suspension etc to cope with too much extra power.
My car is standard apart from a resonated Miltek cat back exhaust.
I must say that after having the REVO fitted it completely transformed the car. Its as though the car has been given a new lease of life. Far more fun and rewarding to drive. I have previously experienced other performance cars (E46 M3).
For me, I would fully recommend REVO and have just found out that there is anew stage 2 software upgrade that can be fitted prior to having downpipes etc fitted which will again make the drive more aggressively.

I am happy with my car you can over mod!! and when you go and sell and take them off before selling the car you wonder why you bothered in the first place.

Each to there own mate, I never slag off anything unless I've had first hand experience of it to back up the statement.Markeemark wrote:hi

If you are happy with your remap that's great news. Revo seem to have a half decent rep especially over the pond but you can also be fooled mentally by the fact that you think something is loads better when in reality it may only be a tiny bit better. I'm not saying your map isn't a good one and hasn't made a difference but having had a number of remaps on my car before finding one that worked for real..... I was a bit disillusioned. Did I think the others were good maps? Yes when I drove the car afterwards I was convinced I could feel a big difference. the Dyno runs done elsewhere proved otherwise. then when I had my first custom map done. Wow! there really was a difference. So for me I would stick to a custom tuner and not a generic map.
As for doing loads of mods and then taking them off the car come sell time. Well what's wrong with that?? If you have done mods that make the car more enjoyable during your owner ship what's wrong with come selling time stripping the car back to standard if the car isn't worth as much with the parts on? I have done it on many cars and bikes in the past. Stick on a nice exhaust system and enjoy it then sale time put the old system back on and get good money for the after market one on eBay or on the forum. just part of enjoying the car I say.
Anyway glad to hear you are happier with the car now. did you get a dyno run before and after by any chance? be interested to see the graph if yo have one?

Hi
I respect all your comments and your knowledge your car looks the business. However I must add two things my local dealership are very accommodating and have to be careful as to what I do to the car as it's still under warranty. I'd be interested to know how much money you had to spend or did you have connections based on the fact that you had numerous remaps - it must have cost a lot of money. As for modifying, what I was trying to get at was that I fitted modifications in the past and yes, whilst you can take them off and sell them in addition to your vehicle, going back to standard makes you wonder why you even modified it in the beginning and perhaps leaving as the car as standard may have been the better thing to do and putting your money into a new model that the manufacturer spent millions investing in.
ps not sure if your read my post concerning disc wear and claiming from audi advice please
