High performance cars always have more owners than a standard vehicle, as people tend to chop and change more frequently. As long as there is a genuine reason for the two owners then no problem.

If the car is perfect bar the two owners, I would go for it as the right car is very hard to find in the current market.

Mines was also two owners - albiet the first was Audi for a couple of months.
Ask to see the log book and find out how long each owner had it.
IMHO - don't think it matters if rest of car is tip top.

Likewise, PPL tend to buy a high performance cars then realise they can not maintain them, hence as Oli said, they tend to have more owners, never let this put you off.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Why is 2 owners a problem?
It shouldnt be a problem at all. I know a couple of ppl who have bought nice cars, as a treat for themselves, kept them a year then back to normality!
Personally, I have had loads of cars, usually keep them 6 months, shouldnt be a problem!

I can't believe my luck! After reading reading thru all you guys advices, I decided to ring back the next day, but it was sold to someone else already
Naturally, I was kicking myself, and thought to myself...oh well...I don't really like the black optic pack anyway(comforting myself obviously  )

Anyway, the Audi saleman rang me up out of the blue today and told me the other guy had pulled out, unfortunately, he could not do me the same deal, now just road tax, a small discount and a full set of new tyres, sorry if you're bored with my little life story, but right now I'm just a little bit excited... :D

Did he explain why he can't do the same deal now? And why the other guy pulled out of the sale? Probably for reasons of his own rather than anything to do with the car, but it would be nice to know (not that the dealer is likely to admit if it was the latter!). Don't mean to sound negative, just cautious, and I reckon you should try to get the original deal, and sound prepared to walk away even if you aren't.
Just going back to the number of owners - as has been said here, it isn't a problem, but if the trade wants to make a plus point out of cars only having had one owner, which of course it does, then that has to cut both ways.

Ok then, you got me re-thinking again
The car now cost me £36700, with a full year road tax, the tyres has about 3-4mm tread left which falls within acceptable Audi's used car standard(it means they don't have to replace tyres), but dealer would now replace all tyres with decent brand name. They could not do the original deal because the manger said so :x
As for the other buyer, he put the deposit down over the phone, and was suppose to view thecar on Tuesday, but he never turned up, and only rang up this morning to cancell it. At least thats the saleman's excuse anyway.

I've inspected the car from bumper to bumper, and as far as I can tell, its perfect, it only has about 3tiny stone chips on the front end, now the question is..haev I got a good deal? Or do you think I overpaid the odds?

Hold on, he was going to sell you the car, then did not (due to someone else buying it) then are offering you the same car but at a more expensive price? if so, are they bloody mad, the oldest chestnut in the book! demand what you want, if not walk, tell them you are looking at some other RS4s at some other locations!

To cut a long story short, I cancelled the car on Saturday, changed my mind on Sunday, only to be told that someone else has already placed a deposit during my cancelled period, hence the reason they did not sell the car to me.

Well now the saga continues, I agree with what sonny says, rang him back up just before closing time and told him what I want, or else I'll cancell it, he's going to ask the manager tomorrow and get back to me ...

May be third time lucky
