307.8bhp.....
Simon, from e-maps, has looked at the plots and said fuelling also!!P_G wrote:That looks more like fuelling that anything else, possibly injectors?
Good luck with having it looked at next week Oli, I'm sure it'll get sorted so long you are patient and nice with them.
And yes, Nick and Mac I'll keep you both in the loop

Re: RE: 308.8bhp.....
Do some more reading ... dynos are of NO USE to check ABSOLUTE figures unless the correct correction factors are used. They are great for comparing the effect of changes made to a car, and comparing the difference between cars - but for absolute figures they are a waste of time.DavidRoss wrote:your kidding? I thought Rs4's were 370hp? I'm completely lost now
The only way to get a proper assessment of absolute figures without taking the engine out of the car is to do real world tests like standing 1/4 mile, 0-60, 30-100, etc.
As some of the guys who went to the dyno day have posted, cars that showed large bhp differences on the RR have near as damn it identical on-road performance...
Don't base yout assessment of RS4 absolute bhp figures on RR graphs...
RE: Re: RE: 308.8bhp.....
I will look forward to hearing what Audi has to say, use my graph as a comparison if you wish, as discussed.
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
there are some in the States...Lebult wrote:Interesting. I'm not familiar with Dyno Dynamics, I don't think I've ever seen them in North America.
Do they show AWD Horsepower?
Or do they adjust for drivetrain loss and show SAE figures?
I didn't know a dyno could compensate for BHP numbers.
in the States crank power is seldom shown, because as you observed, it's difficult to calculate... afaik, only the maha actually calculated losses
they do have awd set-ups...
Just seems odd to me. Some people are claiming around 380hp, which is off if it's BHP figure but sounds right for its SAE figure.
And those claiming around 310hp right on the mark for the Wheel HP figures.
The most common dynos in my area are the Dynajet and Mustang dynos. They both calculate tranny loss and show SAE numbers, but the general consensus is that only Wheel Horsepower numbers matter.
Maybe theres some confusion between BHP and SAE HP ??
I'm going to have my RS4 dyno'ed if/when I get the MTM SC put on, and see where that takes us.

please please make sure you do before and after dyno's so you have a bench mark to work from with regards to what improvents you gain from the SCLebult wrote:
