Need help on RS4 Sport Suspension Plus SS+, too low?

Post by larshs » Fri Apr 24, 2009 4:02 pm

My RS4 2007 have the Sport Suspension Plus pakage, but how should it really look? Is it something wrong with my car, it's very low at the rear and a gap at the front. Can anyone help me please. Wheel center to the wing is 33 cm (13 inch) at the rear but 36 cm (14.2 inch) at the front. It does not look right? Does anyone know if this is correct? See attached picture.

Thanks for any help.

Hi larshs

With SS+ the gap is always much greater at the front

I'm not at home so can't measure my gaps, but yours looks absolutely fine to me

Thanks guys, if this how it should be then I'm happy. Just looks a little odd to me. Only a handful of RS4's here in Norway and none with the SS+ option so have not been able to compare with anyone.

The avant do sit lower at the rear and having seen MEV's car which is on SS+ it did sit lower at the back but must admit your car doesn't look like she is sitting right. is the handbrake on in these pictures?

Nice Ceramics by the way

Agreed!! Lucky B$%£^$d

Thank you RS66, seems you have the same difference then (3 cm). Maybe this is how it should be.

Another picture for you. This is just after switching to summer tires. The picture is taken directly after removing the car jack. To me the car looked better for a second, but it "fell down" after the first run.

When I was shopping for mine, I looked at a saloon with ss+ and I couldn't get my finger between the rear tyre and wheel arch. Not as useful as real numbers I know :(

Regrettably, I didn't buy the car.... it was a beauty.
