hi, just read the redline mag today, abt have developed a turbo for the s5 will that also fit the rs4 considering the engines are the same

I thought the S5 4.2 V8 wasn't FSI - and that it was the same engine as the S4 V8?

That's not the same engine as the RS4 (40 valve not 32 valve, indirect injection not direct injection, etc.).

Its a 4.2 FSI, BUT does not have the same internals or as high compression as our RS 4.2's. I believe the A8 and S5 share the same engine, both FSI, with a redline around 7K.

That makes it the same engine as the Q7 then.

Sell your RS4 lumps and buy a S5 engine and slap on a turbo job done.
