The RS4 I have now had 3 mm left on the tyres when I was looking to buy it and all 4 were replaced as part of the charter plus a service albeit it was 2k miles early.
Or at least that's how it's supposed to happen. The RS4 I bought as an approved used Audi two months ago had 6mm on both front tyres and 2 to 2.5mm on the rears even though the hand over check sheet stated 6mm all round. They replaced the rears and (just about) apologised when I brought it to their attention but now I don't trust them with any of the other checks.

Hmm, see your point, it appears I was somewhat fortunate to buy mine from a dealer I trust and have bought 3 of my 5 Audi's from.

It was the 4th Audi I had bought from that particular dealer but the other three were new rather than 'Approved Used'. Their workshop seemed to be particularly sloppy as the service paperwork wasn't properly in order either, although the work had been done. It used to be my local dealership (hence the three new purchases) but isn't anymore since I moved house - I bought the RS4 from there as they had the right one in.

I'm getting my local dealer (Newcastle Audi) to sort out the boot lid leaking problem the car also has. They've made two attempts so far without properly fixing it but at least they're honest about it.

I had the exact same problem with tyres they agreed all 4 but on pick up only done the fronts when i bought b5,took 6 weeks of chasing to get the rears done by a mobile quick fit, regarding buckets at least i now know only the drivers should tighten LOL thanks Rob,i was driving though and couldnt feel any change in sport mode so !!!!!!!! The front headlights had condensation in them and was told its NORMAL which seems questionable and something that i would try and cure myself,I know all too well how dealers think and regard punters so am always sceptical and very hands on inspecting it myself,my b5 will go up for sale soon with Nick j and also some of my other toys until im in a position to cash buy,in the meantime il be pestering on here gathering info

Alex, did you buy your Audi from another Colebrook & Burgess dealer? I didn't realise you were in my neck of the woods!

No, my local dealer now is a branch of C&B (aren't they all in this area?!) but I used to live in Yorkshire.

My previous local Audi dealer is part of the Sytner group. I would rather have bought a car locally in the Newcastle area but the nearest dealer with the right car happened to be the one I had bought 3 new cars from in the past, which was coincidental but somewhat reassuring - or so I though at the time.

Funny that, I seem to find C&B never have a car I want to buy either, whether that be spec or price.
