My Audi RS4 Has Just Been Stolen
Terzo, that link on the alst page doesn't work.
Sorry to hear about your ordeal. I know it stinks.
I was car jacked at knife point in John Lewis car park, and then the car was used in an armed robbery at a jewelers in Knutsford the next day with machettes and guns!! Not in RS, though. Makes you much more aware of the people around you when you walk back to your car!!

What takes the piss, is the 3 guys had lunch in Est Est Est in Knutsford, finished their food, walked outside, set off some smoke grenades to try and blind the CCTV cameras, pulled out guns and knives and walked into the jewellers next door. Robbed the place, drove to Tabley, set the car on fire, and scarpered. Never found!!! How much more help do the police need?

It has been rcovered, I'm off to pick it up this morning.
Wonder what condition it will be in though

Sorry to hear this mate, but also pleased that it has been recovered, lets hope its in good nick!
On the topic of hiding keys, I was informed that there is a device that can locate lost car keys, when it comes close to the keys it handshakes with the micro chip located in side the Fob, this means that it is impossible to hide your keys, only counter mesure would be to put them into a safe!...i was told this by my alarm installer

Been to see my car today. Couldn't take it away with me as the police hadn't done any forensics on it, and I didn't have time to wait.
Car looked surprisingly well. The most obvious thing was the false number plate they'd blatently stuck over mine  Then noticed they'd KERBED ALL THE ALLOYS !!!
I couldn't have a good look inside the car but from what I could see everything looked ok. Obviously it could be a lot worse once I've given it a good going over but initial thought was thats not too bad.
I don't know how I'll feel when I get to drive it.
Will be taking the car to a secure location until I've the locks changed. Will then asses the car and get it put right. I'm sure the insurance company will be happier knowing it will be a few thousand pounds payout, rather than £40k !

I wouldn't hold your breath.pippyrips wrote:Lets hope they find some prints on the car and get a match
When my A4 got broken into while parked on my drive a couple of years ago I had a chat with the SOCO who checked the car for fingerprints. She said she had found a good print on the trim on the dashboard.
Through a contact at work I checked a couple of weeks later and they had found a match with a known local thief - but nothing was going to be done because of "lack of Police time".
I had this as well a couple of years ago - my A4 was broken into and nearly destroyed inside, the police found blood etc and matched it to someone know to them that was Sept 05 to date no one has been prosecuted! I have given 3 statements (which keep getting lost!) and I think its all dead in the water now really due to the police's lack of interest and not being able to organise a p@$s up in a brewery!PetrolDave wrote:I wouldn't hold your breath.pippyrips wrote:Lets hope they find some prints on the car and get a match
