RS4 Recall ?

Post by RS4MAD » Fri Jun 27, 2008 8:32 pm

Been away for 10 days, had 5 messages from the dealers saying there was a recall on the RS4.Asked what it was for he said they had to check some wires under the bonnet and it would take about an hour.

Anyone else had the same sort of call ?

recalls normally come in the form of letters through the post (printed en masse). Id be suprised if my dealer rang me 5 times personally to advise of a recall, unless youve recently had your car in and theyve realised they've done/not done something.
Everyone is unique, just like you and me.

Mine was serviced yesterday - only "recall" type work was a software upgrade AFAIK.

Just got back from dealers, they said they had to check the wires going into the fusebox because in some cases the wires had been chaffing on where they come into the fusebox.

spoke to the tech later on and he told me it was a recall for all fsi engines so not an rs4 specific recall.
