Yes you can feel the difference, the main reason being the throttle bodies only opened 50-60% in gears 1-3 below 5500 rpm and the remap allows 100% throttle in these gears at any RPM.youry wrote:turbo,
can you say you have felt the difference between std and remapped motronic ? I guess not ?
interesting indeed. I had mine upgraded with new software at my dealer (indeed its 0080).t_urbo wrote:Yes you can feel the difference, the main reason being the throttle bodies only opened 50-60% in gears 1-3 below 5500 rpm and the remap allows 100% throttle in these gears at any RPM.youry wrote:turbo,

Im happy with the remap because its made the engine more flexible in that the cold max rpm is now set lower, the throttle bodies are open 100% of the time, the speed limiter has been set to what i want, Hp and Torque are improved through cam/timing adjustments and not overfuelling, the exhaust flaps are open 100% of the time in Sport mode and it only cost 990 euros.
Oh and Jeroen upgraded the software version to the latest one (that being 80 at the ime) FOC.
I found this log for g/s measured. 1st column RPM, 2nd Std RS4 3rd Gear,3rd Remapped 3rd Gear.AntoRS4 wrote:Turbo,
do you know about ch.211 ( Adv. meas. VAG-COM) ? it's very interesting... is it possible for you to make a 3rd gear launch and log that channel ?
g/s measured, g/s expected, MAF Ratio, intake abs. pressure
i think it's a good way to evaluate tuners job
WOW that must feel a lot different, and in my opinion would be worth the upgrade, so does this put extra strain on the clutch?t_urbo wrote: Yes you can feel the difference, the main reason being the throttle bodies only opened 50-60% in gears 1-3 below 5500 rpm and the remap allows 100% throttle in these gears at any RPM.
