AMD or DMS RS4 Upgrade??

Post by rAudiguy » Tue Sep 25, 2007 11:58 am

Hi Guys,

be interested to hear your views on this one. Both are offering around 15/20bhp more power as well as torque gains and better fuel eco.

I have delt with DMS before as I have there upgrade on my wife's X3 and it's awesome, however this is going to be a little different beast and probably not such a dramatic difference. AMD is a the cheaper option but does that make it value for money? Should I be looking elsewhere?

Be interested to hear from those who have first hand experience with either of these upgrades.

Cheers

Jim

There are some long threads on this not far down or certainly searchable, there is also a dutch tuner and MRC based in Banbury to add to your list... I did a write up called "remapped" by all accounts the results I found were very similar to DMS...

DMS & MRC are the primary choice in the UK (i believe) so it's mroe down to personal choice & for me personally that's DMS.

Worth noting that if you're considering a full Miltek then MRC have a map specifically designed for sports/de-cats which DMS don't offer at the moment.

Other tuners out their that work on the B7 RS4, but the above seem to be the prefered in the UK.

Cheers Paul, I've delt with DMS before and been very happy, plus think i get a bit of a discount as a returning customer  So will probably have a chat with them, at this stage I'm not sure if I want the go the full Miltec system or cat back but I 'm sure DMS are working on that as we speak :)

Has anyone seen a different back box fitted to an RS4 say quad pipes? I've seen and RS6 with quads and it looked awesome!!!

Tubi are doing a quad pipe and it sounds pretty good. Search youtube for Tubi RS4.

I've just got the normal Miltek cat-back, valved & resonated. Exits are about 25% bigger than stock, but are the same oval shape.
