New M3

Post by Jabbafumi » Fri Aug 17, 2007 7:50 am

Met a new M3 on the way to the office this morning, looks very nice indeed, had a few opportunities to spank it and he was right behind me, I must add that we went through a 2nd gear corner and I spanked it on the way out and so did he, the RS was stable, but in my reveiw mirrors I saw the M3 lurch.

But that said, it defiantly looks the part

I am driving another one over the next few days for an article that will apprear in EVO next month. We're comparing it with all the other major M-car from the past 30 years, so we'll see where the E92 fits within that hierarchy.

see in Autocar last night that the entire 2007 production run of M3s for the UK (700) is sold out
No surprises there, but as someone mentioned in a previous link only 700 or so RS4 saloons IN TOTAL made it to the UK
Exclusivity guaranteed I think

I have never been known to say no, especially when I've got the 12 best BMW driver's cars at my disposal and wonderful roads to drive them on.

I suspect the outcome will surprise a few people.

Good write up re M3 in this weeks Autocar, especially the bit about the RS4 'bettering' the M3
Would query Autocars suggestion though that a 1yr old RS4 is worth about £28,000! (graph bottom right of technical page)
I bloody hope not!!
