RE: To re-map or not?
I am sure any modificatrion to the zorts or ECU invalidates warranty.
RE: To re-map or not?
Apparently cat back exchausts will not affect warranty, cats or remap will.

Ah............ but they have to find the re-map first, the exhausts are a bit more obvious... lol

not sure that figures are 100%, they claim and I will get some proof, that they get @ 25-28 bhp, my car is going to them for some R and D work once they get the rolling road issue they have, sorted. obviously depends what the car is out of the box. Seems to be a big variation of 404 to 416 so far. I know they claimed 490 for my 996 turbo, it was actually 549 when put on someone elses rolling road..
Why are you so hung up on changing an already awesome car?simple1 wrote:not sure that figures are 100%, they claim and I will get some proof, that they get @ 25-28 bhp, my car is going to them for some R and D work once they get the rolling road issue they have, sorted. obviously depends what the car is out of the box. What difference will 25 BHP make, other than devaluing your warranty? I can fully understang peolpe wanting to tune out of warranty cars, cars that lack something but the B7 RS4?When you discuss BHP of the B7, is this at the crank or wheels?
There is very little that will beat the B7 RS4 in real life driving situations.

Cos I can.........VARSITY wrote:Why are you so hung up on changing an already awesome car?simple1 wrote:not sure that figures are 100%, they claim and I will get some proof, that they get @ 25-28 bhp, my car is going to them for some R and D work once they get the rolling road issue they have, sorted. obviously depends what the car is out of the box. I had 164 on the road out of Germany into Holland and through to Belgium 2 weeks ago. It was read on the Road Angel and a Snooper S6 more than once. The car felt like it would go further but I wasn't.
I see your point about what limits, but the car is awesome and there are very few places to drive it at 100mph plus. Under this and on the backroads is where this car excels, even in standard format.

Never argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.
is that 163 indicated speed or gps speed?binder wrote:If I remember rightly the Autocar road test achieved 163 mph. I believe there is a post in here somewhere that states this is the max with the limiter. Talking to someone from Audi at Goodwood last year I was told that 185 possible with no limiter.
I think it was established that the 'limiter' only engages at 6th......MVW wrote:Ive had an indicated approx 160 in 5th gear........ with another gear to go

I had the old RS reading 180 mph on the speedo and maxed but had no gps at the time to know actual speed. I believe the limit is 170 on new car.
