Can you give us an idea of your driving style and extent of mechanical sympathy.
Don't know about RS4 clutches but if you launch, ride and generally do lots of very quick shifts, you cannot expect an OEM clutch to last very long, especially on a 4WD car.
Manufacturers make this a weak point intentionally as warranty claims for clutches are much cheaper than for gearboxes.

thanks for replys the 1st time the clutch assembly was changed 2nd time they replaced modified clutch slave cylinder pipe, had car since may 06 only 5900 miles so do not use car every day drive it quite hard when i do and this car has not been on a track yet but i am used to 4 wheel drive cars as my last car and now my wife's car is S4 2.7 V6 and the clutch lasted 50k, audi never mentioned the fly wheel is that a problem i know that when clutch goes it can damaged the fly wheel, it seems that when car is driven hard for a while the clutch starts to stick and slip
Need to check if the flywheel has got a blue colour to it which would indicate that it has got hot, if it has ask for it to be changed at the same time.rogerscott wrote:thanks for replys the 1st time the clutch assembly was changed 2nd time they replaced modified clutch slave cylinder pipe, had car since may 06 only 5900 miles so do not use car every day drive it quite hard when i do and this car has not been on a track yet but i am used to 4 wheel drive cars as my last car and now my wife's car is S4 2.7 V6 and the clutch lasted 50k, audi never mentioned the fly wheel is that a problem i know that when clutch goes it can damaged the fly wheel, it seems that when car is driven hard for a while the clutch starts to stick and slip
