Thinking of de badging any thoughts ?

Post by Bigpockets » Wed Mar 29, 2006 10:42 pm

Maybe i am paranoid, then again i just got rid of my Subaru STI.
Would it make any difference if i de badge my new RS4.

I am not sure.

I saw a RS6 with a different spec badge on it, i knew what it was. But do the general idiots that want to cause you grief know ?

very tired so this may not make sense.

Naaaa I would leave them on... the new RS4 has been highly advertised so most people know what one is anyway....

I think the 19" rims, twin tail pipes, exhaust note, bucket seats, steering wheel etc. are a bit of a give away!
Having said that it would be a bit of a laugh to replace all the RS4 badges with S-line ones and stick a 3.0 TDI quattro badge on the boot - then have a laugh surprising all the boy racers :FIREdevil:

I would debadge it. You can request the badges to be left off, and supplied with the car.

A 3.0 TDI DOES surprise all the boy racers anyway

Don't underestimate the old oil burner, I have hours of fun in mine

Anyway, I agree with Riz, don't think it will make any difference IMHO
Cheers

Only petrolheads will know what it is. Debadging will only bring marginal benefits for theft protection. These cars are stolen by crooks who know what they are looking for.

Haven't heard from RS4frank recently is he still in Ireland or back in US? Wonder what they would make of a B7 in Ireland :P
