Hi all, another newbie for you to bully and tease! need some advice. Im hungry for MORE POWER!!

Ive had a 2003 model S3 for 9 months now and lovin it. but getting a bit too used to the power. At the moment its completely standard. By the looks of all the other topics on here, chipping is a given, so whats the best, considering i dont really want to break the bank?

Also, my clutch is on its way out now so should i uprate the clutch or will a new standard one be able to cope with the extra power. Thanks for the help in advance.

Oh, by the way im from the birmingham area so the closer the better really(im a right lazy b@stard!) to get any work done.

Cheers

Mark

alright pal jus been reading your message, ive had my s3 for the last 18 months, when i bought it, it were already chipped up with revo stage 1, it should put your bhp upabout 60, it would cost u about 500 quid to get it revod, and another 250 for a key to turn on settins from 1-9 but you do not need the key as the garage will leave it on wot they recommend, but my god you can tell the difference, one of my mates as got the key so you can turn it off and last month i got him turn it off because my clutch were goin, but when he did it and i went it felt like i was in a bag of <beep>, so i got him put it back on, its like theres no boost without, you`ll love. Theres another chip for it called APR but i dont know much about that, i just know thats its on perminant and you cant adjust like the revo.

Nice one, just looked on their sites and they both seem do-able. Theres a REVO dealer in walsall called MIJ Performance ill probably speak to. What do you think about any other tweaks - exhaust/air filters? Dont really want it sounding much different - I want its Bite to be worse than its Bark!

Anyone have any ideas about the clutch - it seems to be getting worse by the day.
