Changing Headlights for the Continent

So, i'm planning on taking the S3 to the continent for a week - and looking in the manual it says the headlights can only be changed at an Audi garage, which is a PITA...

I can't imagine its that difficult - so does anyone know how you switch it over?

I'm guessing because they are HID you can't simply stick on the deflectors?

Inside the headlight unit there is a small lever just below the projector unit. If you flick that upwards a shutter moves over part of the beam to make it flat.
It is a little fiddly though. It's probably easier to take the headlight out to do it.
