Temperature on dash not always 90 degrees

Post by david7m » Wed May 02, 2007 12:51 pm

Hi

Is it just me that can't fnd anything useful with the search function?

Anyway - my temperature seems to be fluctuating between 80 and 90 on the dashboard.

Any ideas?

I'd say that its just the temperature going up with the ambient air temp + usage, when it hits 90 the fans kick in and bring it back down again, then shut down, then the temp builds again and so on...

I wouldnt say its anything to worry about.

My RS4 was doing this - it's the thermostat. Had mine changed at the 80k service, and the problem is solved.
