Right since having my H&Rs and Koni shocks fitted, I have had a few concerns about the ride height and stiffness of the car, but these have been addressed by taking the front shocks of max firmness and even the ride height (on the rear) looks nice to me now.

My question is:

When measuring the car after a week and a half so some time to settle, it is 320 mm from the center of the center caps on the rear and 330 mm on the fronts. So 10 mm difference front to back - is this acceptable or normal or what? Obviously this measuring is not 100% scientifically accurate [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

I'll check mine ( GmbH) tonight. Her indoors has mine today----- so that I can pay for the replacement (faulty) side air bag in her A4 !

i don't think so - before i lowered mine, my car was uniform height all around and it was afterwards too.

I just had a look at mine but it's on a funny angle but the rear "appears" higher than the front. (Std suspension). I need to move it somewhere better before I give you a proper answer mate.

I measured from the ground to the edge of the arch ( as I felt more confident than the middle of the wheel )
Front

car has 10k on it and a fraction over half a tank of fuel.

Guys..... remember when the hand brake is engaged the rear suspention does raise sometimes dependant on surface gradient. [img]images/graemlins/tung2.gif[/img]

I think my right rear is lower than my left rear... what's the deal with that... i've got the stock suspension...
could it be the springs or the shocks..? how can i fix this?

As you seen mine (factory Quattro Gmbh) is between you old standard height, and Chelsea Micks Lowered height.

mine seems lower at rear than at the front.

Here are my figures chaps.
Taken on a level surface from arch to floor in centre of tyre/alloys.

680mm all road with 1/4 tank of fuel.
Standard S3 suspension.

Lowering a car lowers the centre of gravity helps car handle and grip better.
Strengthening springs helps the car roll less in corners and gives more raw feedback.

Can you upgrade the S3 suspension so the ride hight remains the same but has a firmer spring for less roll and more raw feed back. cheers [img]images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]
