Car Stopped on Me?????????

Post by Keep_guessin » Tue Jul 12, 2005 12:34 pm

Car stopped on me last night..........no warnings, no nothing. Just parked it up, 10 minutes later tried to start it again, with no luck....

Tried a jump start, although I knew in my head it wasnt the battery, as all the electrics where fine, but even after that, the battery warning light came on!.....so much for the jump start then....

Tried push starting the car, but was a waste of time really......the engine is turning over with no reaction or response from the car...

Tried to reset the engine, by disconnecting the battery, but again no luck....been told it may be the ECU, only time can tell now, enough petrol in the car, and yeah, its the right fuel....didnt put the wrong one in.

Any ideas?

Just to let you see, as I said before, I would put pictures up of the new D2S bulbs I ordered (10,000k) gives the car a more aggressive look, and the colour is much cooler then any other.....let me know what you think?

Wel...the news is......some fuses when, engine management, when replaced, turned the car over, but the third coil blew out, and started to burn, and pour out smoke......

The least of my problems.

conected the car to the computer....no signal between that and the ecu, its not communicating....going to try and repair it or get a new one...

Anyone got any ecu's lying around for a Y reg S3?

Problem Sorted. Ecu resistor inside was blown, replaced, and put back in. Controlled the voltage, hence the coil was blown because the resistor was gone.

The car starts, and cleared some errors. Now running smoother then before....
