Interesting reading from Waks site about loosing 0,1 bar of boost when turning the air con on.
Did anyone else notice that their air con was on after the RR session? Mine certainly wasn't on before it.
Mmmmm.
Dunc, don't fret mate, both you and Simon Elman had weird results that don't compare to your previous sessions on the rollers so you'll just have to try somewhere else. Roll on QST's ('scuse the pun).

Cheers

Ben, yes my aircon was on as well - sure I switched it off but it could have been turned on when they drove it in due to misting etc.... (or is that me being optimistic)
Ok then, but SITAS3 was running High Boost 6 and got 307lb/ft...

So what are you gonna say about that?

Dunc, all our neighbours on our estate are talking about it - the Red car beat the black car on the rollers.. Jeese that's some car he must have there.. etc .. Your next door neighbour cheered me last night when I left your house.

Seriously though, could your poor performance be due to tyres or something???

I'll be talking to Scott/Richard tomorrow afternoon. Let you know the outcome.

Yep, had the estate agents round valuing the house today as we can no longer live here due to the shame

You two crack me up.
Simon, when you're up there, ask what difference air con makes, perhaps they cranked Duncs right up

Has anyone been on the rollers with an APR chipped S3?

Do all four wheel drive cars, not just Audi, lose so much power from the flywheel to the wheels?

I presumed if it was 250 at flywheel, then approx. 225 at wheels ?!?!?!?!?!

If you the thread on a-s.net, I think you'll see you've upset the organiser by posting here and not there.

Since it was organised by the other forum I think he has a point.

yes I see Wando is upset and I guess at us here. Most of us (if not all?) have posted on AS.NET as Wando/Jo/AS.NET and AMD did a great job, but surely we are free to discuss here also???

I am a active user of AS.NET and here (not so much in the day as for some reason its blocked from my work)

Or maybe not I dont know?

Scotty, personally I don't agree. I was the one that started the post on As.net 'Congratulating' the team on a good day etc and, as usual, it has been reduced to a pile of rubble for no good reason.

Another point - if people were there causing trouble, then it should have been dealt with there and then and not allowed to spill out into a public forum for IMHO political gain.

To my knowledge yes 4 wheel drive cars loose more power than 2 wheel drive cars.
AMD told me that when I got mine remapped because I didn't believe my S3 was 225bhp standard.
It felt more like 125bhp but showed 221.6 bhp on the RR standard.

Wouldn't mind trying mine out, when/where is the next?

Could someone keep me posted?

Cheers.

stay tuned to this channel David - we're hoping to arrange another RR session at another place early in the New Year if there's enough interest.

Sounds like you all had a good day, I had to work or would have shown my face. Be interesting to hear what Scott and Richard have to say too.

I think you'll find the answer to this is no. It could well be that AmD have promised not to publish the results before Audi Driver Magazine, but more likely the site owner is suffering from self-referential obsessive Audi-forum dominatrix syndrome! Not content with banning or censoring everyone who disagrees with his own weird view of reality on AS.net, he now wants to impose his will everywhere else. It should be resisted at all cost.

That said, by all accounts I heard it was a good day made better by the Rugby.

As I've just explained over there, I couldn't get to the site to post up my results yesterday, each time I tried it was down. Still can't fault the day though

Well okay but my mate who attended said it was a good day, and what really made it work was the enthusiasm of the attendees. This disguised a number of short fallings - not least the lack of hospitality - hot food, coffee, etc - RS246 note for future. AmD did well to get through the reserve list, incentivised by some cash in hand/pocket activity no doubt. But will it make up for all those Revo sales? I somehow doubt it. Oh, and every gathering of clans needs someone to hate and throw stones at, it's a psychological group thing, and sure enough they victimised a banned member who just happened to turn up.

In the olden days they would have stoned him to death which is quite an appropriate analogy by all accounts as he allegedly stank of weed!
