fit r32 front brakes to an S3

Post by duncanhancox » Sat Nov 15, 2003 12:09 am

i just found that the r32 uses 334 (i think) disks with 4pot calipers - i presume that these could be fitted to an s3, either using a bracket possibly or maybe a direct fit?

anyone any ideas or tried it?

in theory they should fit but you need to check to see if the bottom of the suspension strut on the R32 is the same
as the S3 (IIRC they are)

how much are the R32 brakes all in (including fitting)? it may be preferable to just get the 993 TT Porsche set-up with features floating drilled discs if there is not much difference price wise. Then you'll end up with a better set up.

it is a scandal that the R32 type brakes were not fitted to the S3 in the first place.
M3 CSL - Silver Grey, a few options.

Why not just go for the Brembo 'Gran Turismo' set up? Around £650 IIRC. Might be cheaper than the VW parts!
