Anyone running one?

Have had a couple of makes (Neuspeed/HPA) on my last 3 cars.. and am seriously thinking about the JHM option:-

Plus I might get the poly Rear Diff & Snub mounts at the same time to save on shipping costs

Just wondering if anyone had an good/bad experiences??

I bought the JHM shortshifter and Apikol snub mount (the best one) when a colleague was in the US (he was the other side of the country but it was a lot cheaper than shipping it to the UK).

They both made a lot of difference - all the sloppiness has gone from the shifter; it feels (as JHM say) 'solid' and much shorter. If you buy the trio package it should be even better but it's obviously more expensive and you have to get under the car to fit the linkage. You can always add the bushing and linkage from the trio package later if you want.

The snub mount I fitted a few weeks later since the front of the car has to come off. The difference was noticeable too - smoother into gear. It's still a little notchy from first to second when cold but overall it's a lot better.

To fit the snub mount properly the technician is supposed to mount it and let the car idle for a few minutes before tightening it up so the vibrations centre it properly. It's huge compared to the OEM mount so, if it's not placed correctly, you'll get a lot of vibration at idle where it's touching the bracket. My garage said they'd fitted them before but I had too much vibration when I got the car back so they gave it another go and it's much better. There is a little extra vibration when the car is cold and idling but it's fine after a few minutes of driving.

Personally I find the stock RS4 shift to be just right. I've never been a fan of shortshfters as by reducing the throw you're increasing the force required to move things... this tends to make you change gear faster which in principle is what you are after but puts that little bit extra strain on the synchros.
But guessing different box in the s4?

I'll try to ignore the grammatical mistakes and focus on the point - why would they be quite common if they're not rated at all?

Just look on Audizine and you'll see this statement is false. Also note the remark comes from someone who doesn't have one.
