RS4 Pedals

Post by goose » Tue Jun 12, 2012 11:32 am

FYI all, Richard at Audi Stoke Parts Team has just done me a great deal on a set of RS4 pedals (inc. footrest) @ £84.10 delivered.

eBay jobbies go for £110+, so am well chuffed to be getting OEM for cheaper.

They are on 2 week back-order, and are supposed to be a pig to fit.. but will wait and see.

Great service; Stoke Audi :piss: all over my local Reading Audi dealership.

Was thinking of this for my B6 and have been looking on line for these also.
Let us know how you get on.
Foot rest should be easy, as my standard one came loose the other day! Scary stuff getting that stuck in the way!!

Trust me, they are not particularly easy to put on. I got mine from eBay a couple of years ago but they slept in the garage till about two months ago. Struggled getting the old ones off, (had to resort to stanley knife thus rendering them unusable), and slightly damaged the clutch pedal base (it's plastic as opposed to the the other two metal ones).
The rubber on the new ones is very hard, so resorted to putting them in boiling water to try to soften it a bit. Numerous attempts and resorting to a bit of silicon spray finally got them on (sort of) though break pedal fell off a week later so went through it all again. I don't think they are completely attached even now, but no more have fallen off.
I'd recommend doing tho, at they look sooo much better especially on a cab as you walk past if u leave the roof down!! I personally didn't bother with the dead pedal but that's personal preference.

i wasnt going to get the dead pedal but the prices made the decision for me..

3x pedals = £70 odd
dead pedal = £65 odd

full set - £84

OK - so dead pedal took 5 mins... gas pedal about 15 mins.. and brake and clutch circa 30 mins each.

These times inc. removing the old rubber pedals.. which is not as easy as it sounds lol!!!

Popped them in a bowl of boiling water for 5/10 mins each first, then went at it with some swearing and a stubbie flat head screwdriver.. no damage to pedal, new covers, or me!

They look the biz - great little mod.

Yup, those are the ones. I don't have the quote to hand from Audi, but best I get onto Stoke.
Shame, I'd have done it last weekend if it was that cheap.
Maybe my quote was the whole pedal...
