WSP Italy wheels?

First of all, hello everyone! :bigwave:

I've recently taken ownership of a nice sprint blue Avant, which I LOVE. Totally different power delivery to the turbo's I've been used to! However, I was looking for some replacement wheels for it as I'm not so keen on the original S4 alloys for this shape.

I was looking at these WSP Italy http://www.performancealloys.com/wheel- ... px?ID=2197 Rotor/Rota's or whatever they're called. I think the genuine audi ones are fitted to TTRS's, RS3's etc.

Has anyone had any experience of the brand? I know from reading other posts that the general consensus is to go for OEM wheels, however these seem to meet good safety standards and although they're cheaper than the Audi equivalent, it's not like they're dirt cheap!

If you can recommend an alternative product that has a similar look, or a different website I should be checking, I'm all ears! I had heard that the German equivalent to ebay may be a good place to look but I don't even like using the UK version so I'm not so sure I want to go down that road!

Love the site and look forward to contributing as well as receiving good advice.

Cheers,

Steve :s4addict:

Hi and welcome.

I bought a set of WSP replica S4 Avus III wheels from performance alloys. Overall they are fine, bit of confusion over wheel offsets so ended up with ET35 to ensure clearnace over the brakes but don't believe it is actually required so could have used ET45. Still it does let the wheels fill the arches.

I did look at buying OEM but new they were very expensive at over £400 each and I couldn't find any second hand at reasonable prices. The centre caps are different fitting so OEM and WSP are not compatible and they give 2 different brand badges one OEM'ish and a different one that you have to stick on.

The only issue I have found is the paint is quite hard so doesn't react well to any kerbing where the damage is more substantial compared to OEM as the paint chips but apart from that they have been fine and look exactly the same as OEM.

i really like the oem rotors, but prefer them on either dark cars (black/grey) or white.. sticking with oem, have you thought of the c6 rs6's? http://forum.rs246.com/viewtopic.php?t=88544&start=15

i also really like the S5 style (as per the B8 S4).. 19's or 20's would look sweet http://www.cartype.com/pages/3323/audi_s4_avant__2010

Hmm, thanks for the advice gottanS. Might sound fussy but I don't really want to have wheels that have sub-standard centre caps. Ironic given that the wheels themselves may be inferior to OEM, I know, but still something I would take into consideration.

goose - The C6 RS^ wheels definitely appeal to me (besides the extra cleaning involved!) so thanks for digging out the links. I'd started to consider them once I realised how difficult the rotors were to get hold of. Will do some more digging... Will also need to get a pic or two of the beast up when I get the wheels! :D

Hi mate, did you get wheels?
I'm also looking at WSP's as they seem to be better quality than some other reps. I'll probs go RS4 style but I'm not sure whether to stick with 18" (wheels only) and swap my tyres over or go for a 19" package!
