Which Tyres?

Hi chaps (and chapesses) it's time for some new boots and I thought I'd ask advice from others who will have used the various options. Wheels are factory fitted 9-spoke option but standard 18" size.
My choices seem to be:
MSP3 (bro has these on his Evo X and says they are good),
MSP2 (out of stock everywhere so probably not a choice)
Ultrac Sessanta
Goodyear Assymetric2
Hankook RS2 (recommended by one of the members in Northants)
Any comments from those who have used these on their S4 would be greatly appreciated as not all cars like the same tyre due to the differing sidewall stiffness and general flexibility in the rubber
Thanks
Richard

Hi Rich,
I put a full set of PS3's on about a month ago. They are a marked improvment over what was on the car (Toyo's) and so far make the car feel alot more stuck to the road and improve the feel all round.
Got mine from Event Mobile tyres.
Cheers
Steve

I'm on my third set of Falken FK452's and love them, great all round in the wet and dry, and cheap at £110/corner fitted too.

I have been trying to find some PS2's for my S4 but not having a lot of luck, heard negative comments about the PS3 so not particularly keen on them. Really don't know what to have now.
I looked at the Pilot Super Sports but they don't make them in 235/40 R18 size, can get 225 but leaves your alloys more exposed to kerb rash.

Sessanta's or Goodyear Eagle F1
I'll be buying Sessanta's again when my current set are dead.

thanks for prompt replies guys
I've had both sessanta's and falken 452's on my 350Z before, both were great value
just wonder if it's worth paying the extra for goodyears or mps3's

Down to preference I think. I know people that have had both. Some prefer one or the other, some say they didn't really notice a difference.
I would say heavier cars seem to get on better with the Goodyears, I've seen a few RS6 owners prefer the GF1's, whereas a growing number or S4 owners have Sessanta's
I'm going for Vreds again as I don't think the Goodyears will be enough of an improvement/happy with the Vreds, to warrant the extra cost

Which tyre you choose I think really depends upon how you drive and how the car feels to you, what is inescapable is the tyre is the only thing keeping you on the road and you really should buy the best tyres you can afford, my personal preference is the PS2 I have managed to find a set of 4 so i'm happy for another year.
One thing I have discovered is how good winter tyres are, lucky enough to have a set and just driving around in the wet and cold plus snow last year they felt so 'planted' compared to summer tyres which are very stiff in comparison, mind you winter tyres in the warm are like driving on blancmange...

We tried Michelins on family Sportback but they wore out quicker than the Goodyears!! Won't be paying the premium for Michelins on my S4 when the time comes, I'll be going for Asymmetric 2s.

I have always rated Goodyear Eagle F1s, although I think the GSD3s are now an old line and assymetrics are the successor. I have inherited Conti Sports on my current S4 and they seem excellent in terms of wet and dry grip - might go for them again when the time comes if they are good value compared to F1s etc.

My B7 came with Michelin PS2's from the factory, depends upon what they can get at the time or who is cheapest.
