Am I asking too much or is it timing?

Reduced my S4 as bought an RS6 so need to sell, offers invited.
Had car about 6 months and got her new wheels and had service with plugs changed. Other than that is great car in good colour combination. Is last of the B6 S4's. It has usual bits plus Xenon's and had an i-pod connection fitted.
Been on autotrader for 2-3 weeks and no interest at all?

Is it this one?

Are the wheels Audi or replicas?
I'm looking at the moment and I've not noticed much difference in value between 02-04 reg'd B6s - not seem many 05 ones, not that it really makes much odds
I'd say with the mileage on the car, plus it's a private sale, it will need to be cheaper to attract interest. The car is fairly light on spec - you might get more of a sniff at £9995, which may generate some offers in the £9-9.5k range. Glass's trade is just under £9k, but depends what a trader would offer you for it?
That's just my opinion, with a bit of experience of looking at what's around and having the benefit of access to Glass's and CAP guides.

Personally I don't think the pics do it justice. Sounds really stupid but something about the backdrop puts me off. If it was me I'd redo them - see you're in Brighton - some arty <beep> along the seafront could work

I am looking to put mine up for sale but thinking twice about it until next year. I was talking to a dealer and he seemed to think high end cars are selling still but at a lower price. I assume people that have cash to spend are rubbing their hands together at the prospect of some great cars at bargain prices.
I have been looking at 911's recently as some of those are bargains too. One I went to look at the pictures really made it look good. Loads better that some of the others, but after viewing it was not as good as it seemed.
I think coming up to Christmas won't help. I do agree that the pics do not do the car justice.

I've been trying to sell mine for months now and only had 1 viewing but loads of phone calls.
What you could do is get rid of the phone safe on the add (around 40p a min?) and also put in an e-mail link.
Some people would rather e-mail questions than talk over the phone.
I don't think the price is too bad.
How bad do you want to sell?? If not too bad just keep it at that price and someone will like the look of it

Pictures do not do it justice in terms of location and quality. Were they taken using a phone? This may sound odd but blacken the tyre walls. Nothing looks worst on a freshly cleaned black car than dull tyre walls.

I got £11k PX for my 2004 S4 a month ago. It had 20k fewer miles than yours, reverse parking sensors and sat-nav (as well as some mild performance mods but they don't tend to affect the price). I was offered £10.5k for a straight sale so I think £10k for yours might be more realistic.

I think it's well priced. What about Tax, MOT, last service date etc? I've had a few calls on mine this week at £11,700.00 with 73k on the clock? The only thing I can see that may deter people is the seats. Personally I like them and had the same combo in my old S3 but a few people who came to view mine weren't so keen.

Hi,
Is it really an 05? Surely, it should have the facelift. I have a 2005 Cab and it has the bonnet seperate from the front grill. It looks like your grill is part of the bonnet.
Mine's a B6.
Just curious.

Hi,
I think all B6 cabs had the bonnet separate from the grill. Possibly because they were introduced later than saloon and avant which had this introduced with the facelift sometime in '05.

Mine must of been one of the last made that year. I will get pics done and re-write the add this weekend.
From memory when I bought a 2005 B7 A4 DTM instead of S4 as thought the changes to the latest model were thorough but only cosmetic on S4 as it got new 'big' grille but nothing else where other A4's had suspension/steering changes etc. Might be wrong?
I liked the seats as all black is a bit too much and all leather is too slipper and either cold or hot when you want the opposite!
Not had one call which surprised me. Wheels are brand new, had service with plugs changed 2 months ago and now has i-pod connected. Also with auto xenon lights etc spec' is good. Just does not have sat nav.

It'd be worth getting a 'worst case' price by plugging some fake personal details into webuyanycar with the correct reg for your car. Somewhere between that price and equiv garage forecourt prices for age and mileage would give you an alternative view on pricing?
From what I can gather, these just aren't shifting at the moment unless they're very cheap.
Lincoln Audi were shifting on a part-ex 60k miler Avant with slush box, sat-nav, phone prep, leather, for £9995
I'm almost certain Xenons are standard - but auto feature (if it has that) is an option that comes with auto dip rear view mirror.

I think I have resigned to the fact that it will sell after Christmas
Shame as lovely car and paid £13.5K 5 months ago. Still probably reason got good price on the RS6?
