Post your alloys

I have put a couple of threads up about changing alloys. lee_whitehead has helped out by posting a picture of his choice with dimensions. (Correct Offset post)
I have sort of chosen what I want and have a choice between 8.0x19 or 8.5x19. The design isnt really the issue with this thread, its more what different offsets/rim width etc look like on the car.
As lee_whitehead has done, please can you post pictures of your ride if you have 19s on with the rim width, offset and tyre size.
Hopefully this can help me decide so I can stop bleating on about it!
Many thanks

fair play man, be good to see them up. have to say that I used to be a prelude enthusiast and the
www.prelude-uk.co.uk owners forum was a very friendly place and everyone got involved. I guess that many audi owners are much busier...

Not sure how many people have actually changed to 19's. I know when i was looking for some new wheels i was told to stay away from 19's cause of the harsh ride.

Sorry, I'm running with the standard rims too. But would be interested to find out how you get on with the 19" and whether it affects the ride/handling.

Guess Ill know soon - got so fed up with the boring standard ones, Im afraid the looks have now overtaken the ride quality. I must be getting younger!!

I fitted the BBS LM 8.5x19 to my old S4.
You will not notice a reduction in ride quality if you chose light a quality wheels and tyres combo.
Pics can be seen on the gallery section of my website....

Some good pictures there - thanks very much. On the top picture, Andy`s B7 A4 fitted with custom 19" LM`s, any idea what rim width and tyre size he had as the rims look very wide compared to the tyre!

I think the rim is a 8.5x19
Not sure on the tyre size, maybe a 225/35x19? He uses this forum so he may be along in a while.....

Glad your getting some answers mate - I have found the ride quality hardly noticeable at speeds but it does crash around potholes a bit more, mainly because of a lack of cushioning and the sheer weight of the bloody car!
Make sure you spend the extra money and get good tyres. the ones I have came with the alloys from AEZ and although fine, they certainly arent spectacular. I will be getting Pirelli P Zero Nero's on it when they are due

Here's a link to mine which has RS6 reps and 235/35x19 Falken 452's.

I don't know if the ride's harder than standard as these were on it when I got - it's firm, but not uncomfortable and I've done 30,000 miles in the last 18 months with no back problems!

Worth doing some digging to find out about how rigid the sidewalls are on different brands of tyre, it can make along of difference on some applications

Where I am getting the wheels from, they offer budget tyres as default - Bloody "Sunny" brand! never heard of them and sound really mickey mouse. I am getting Falken 452's with mine. I have had these before and were pretty pleased with them. The Continental Sport Contact I have at the moment are not the best, the Dunlop which the car was originally marketed with were far better.
Well, will be ordering them this week. Just visiting garages getting quotes for the springs to be put on - word has it they are about a 5hr job!
TiggerS4, nice car - remember looking at it when you first posted. Once my springs are on, Ill drive it with the current wheels so I can more accurately assess the difference in ride, then after about 5 minutes of testing, Ill be back home to put on the new wheels.
Xyber - thanks also for the advice, would be good to see others opinions on tyre choice.
