Hello everyone, Just wanted to say hello. Yesterday i picked up my 03 silver Avant, standard car at the moment, apart from the upgrades from new. 28,000 miles, so just run in. I will be interested to see how well it goes over time compared to the STi Scoob i had, obviously the build quality is in a different league.

Its a completly different car to drive, and like some others on the forum, i am finding the clutch a little strange at the moment.

I think the first mod will have to be a Miltek exhaust, to liberate the sound of that lurvely V8 engine. :D :D

Great forum guys, i have gleaned a lot of information from here over the last few months.

Cheers Steve

Welcome over the the S4 side - you like me have moved from Scooby to S4.

For me the S4 is a far better car, although its just as quick as the Scooby it does lack the punching feel, which i can only assume is due to it being normally asperated and therefore has constant power rather than a bang when the turbo kicks in.

Just curious what spec is your S4 and how much did you pay - reason i ask is i bought a 03 S4 Avant with 28k, Sat Nav, Bose, rear parking sensors, recently for £25,750

Hi Spikey, paid £24k, no sat nav, but rear parking sensors, bose upgrade, 6 cd, auto rear view mirror (dont know if that was extra). road angel, 1/2 leather and alcantara, and for me the best option after owning the scoob is the fact its been de badged. I got enough attention in the scoob to last me a life time.

I have found that it does not feel as fast as the scoob, but some of that is because its so smooth and quiet, but i dont think that their is much in it as far as a standard Sti goes. I had the PPP on mine and some other small mods, so it was running about 310-315bhp in the end, but it was all a bit manic at times the S4 is just super smooth. :D

Which scoob did you have ?. I had the STi 7 Prodrive, Wr blue, gold wheels, all very tasteful

cheers Steve

You sound like your feeling the same as me about the S4 over the Scooby - the S4 is a far better car all round.

I had a green T reg sportswagon 2000 Turbo AWD (225 BHP) so not as nice as your one :) although mine did have the gold wheels :)

Im hoping to get the miltek exhaust as well - as you say the V8 needs to be heard properly :)

pic of the S4 i bought (taken when i was test driving it)

well done!! S4 is a nice car, very smooth for everything. I had supersprint exhaust on mine very well made top quality and the sound was fab!!
If i can give you a tip, if you try to drive cool to save fuel don't change gear below 2000rev more you change too early and more it is juicy!!
You will notice you have to top up with oil sometimes nothing to worry about it is a V8. For a long trip always have a litre in the boot.

Enjoy your new toy :bigwave: Quattrosteph
