Replacing the DRL bulbs

Post by SevenR » Sat Sep 06, 2014 12:41 pm

Hi All.
I've got a DRL lamp out on the drivers side on my B7. It looks impossible to get to from the inside?? Is it a headlight out job? Also, no listing in Halfrauds for what type of lamp. Anyone advise please?
Tried a few searches but not coming up with much.

LEDs are the way forward!!!

No need for lamp out. Passenger side is easier, but drivers tighter. Remove the flexi air feed pipe at least...

Thanks Neil. I will go LED eventually but just want this one fixed to put out the annoying warning signal on the dash display. :)
Got the wee bugger out!! The glass had come right off from the metal base. Completely goosed. Off to Halfrauds I go!!!

Yep. A bugger to work on in any respect...

Cannot get the bulb holder to relocate!!! Just not enough room for my hand. If only the rad pipe wasn't there. Bit extreme for a bulb though

Yeah drivrs side is much more of a pain than the passenger side; that rad hose is a pain but can be sqeezed and pushed out the way a little.
