What do we reckon as a cheap but effective exhaust mod?

I would love a non res cat back milltek but right now can't afford due to having a wedding in June to pay for but at the same time am fed up with how quiet the car is.

Any thoughts anyone? I've messaged them to get a quote for one specifically for the B7 S4.

will be fine yeah but the s4 is not 2.5'', might be worth removing the centre boxes whilst doing this as you will notice little gains

The plan was to use this to replace the centre boxes, not so worried about power gains, just want more noise

sounds good, i dont tink itll be as straightforward as a cut out and bolt in job, but will work

as above, there is little to no chance that will fit in place, go find a powerflow or similar exhaust place have them remove the centre boxes and stick in a h or x pipe doubt it will cost any more that £100 bearing in mind i had my local place make me a non res section for 30 quid and fit it...

Just spoke to a local exhaust place in Maidstone. He has quoted me £80 to cut out the middle box and replace with straight through pipes. Going to try and get down there the start of next week to get it done

Don't get straight pipes get an H-pipe to keep the scavenging effect and keep the tone low

Ok. No probs. may seem a silly question but has anyone got a picture of an h pipe?

it looks like an h lol, where the 2 pipes run parallel next to each other they join a pipe between them, so it looks like and H or an X pipe is the same but a more gradual join like an X...

Had the exhaust done today. Just had the middle box removed and some straight though pipes welded in place. Not much louder but soooo much more bark. Just a bit annoyed as just found a sodding massive screw stuck in the middle of my back passenger tyre

no big deal - sounds repairable.

I wish it had been. Ended up getting raped for two rear tyres
