Just changed my driver side parking light. A bit fiddly but done in 5 minutes.

Shane,

I changed my driver side out too when I got the LED lights. It was a little bit fiddly, but everything unclipped and went back in no problem.

If you haven't got the LED replacements, I would recommend them. They look the same as the main Xenon bulbs

A much improvement over the standard ones.

Elmo,
Where did you get yours? Do you have a part number?

Keep us updated on these Elmo please mate, I must've got through 20 sidelight bulbs, it's the one small but irritating reliability issue I have wih this car! I do do a lot of night driving though, but it'd be interesting to hear how long these LED ones last. Apparently the bulbs fail so often due to excessive current being sent throught them on start up because of charging issues.

PS when I change mine I simply take off the cap at the back of the light unit (which is held in place by a hinged metal clip) and pull the bulb holder out; bit fiddly, and on the driver's side it means removing the ribbed air pipe, but only takes a couple of minutes.

Yeah Pete,
It looked worse than it was and for once I'm glad I have small hands.

Shane,

Got mine from http://www.ultraleds.co.uk/automotive-bulbs-c-101.html

They are the H6W BAX9 bulbs.

Will post a picture to show the difference.

Cheers,

Elliot

Hi,
I like the idea (and look) of these. Did you need any ballasts or is the car happy with the LED bulbs and not giving any errors?

Thanks

They are only the side lights mate so no ballasts. I have had the odd error come on the dash from these but don't think anyone else has??

For info, I fitted the LED sidelights tonight (well, one...), and I'm really impressed. I managed to break one of the LED units as I was putting it in, so at the moment I've got one LED and one regular bulb!! Means I was able to take a pretty good comparison picture though!

I haven't got my xenons on here, but the LED matches the white light of the xenons a lot better than the old yellow sidelights. It just looked wrong to me having yellow sides & nice white xenons.

For anyone that's reading this who's thinking of replacing their bulbs I'll add my experience: I had to remove a piece of cowling on the passenger side (easy - no screws involved), and what I think was the air intake for the cabin on the driver side, (again, pretty easy, but slightly fiddly to replace). Once these were off it was just a case of unclipping and removing the rear cover of the light cluster, and pulling out the bulb holder. This is where I definitely agree that small hands are useful! Not a hard job really, probably 30 mins for the first time you do it, and that's if you're going carefully and are a bit hamfisted like me!

The same happened to me. When I was twisting the bulb into place the top part came off. Ultraleds replaced them no qualms. Send them back.
