Lowering a 2004 B6 S4

Post by djbs4 » Tue Nov 08, 2005 4:04 pm

Hi all, I just wanted to throw a question out to all and sundry regarding lowering my S4 at tad. I seem to recall there have been some dropped by up to 20mm, is it achievable, what costs are involved and is there any impact on warranty etc etc???? Only a thought at this stage but they do look nice when sitting lower I think....

I do agree they look a little meaner. Not sure I'd put mine through it as I do a 'booze run' occasionally. Last time I went I heard the rear tyres rubbing when I hit the speed bumps when I got back to Dover, so lowering it more than standard would kill me off :D

Thanks for that but it doesn't help me decide about lowering the beast knowing that you routinely bottom your Noggy out when the car is full of illicit booze.... :?

Cheers anyway mate

Edited: Just saw your pics...looks sweet!

I'm thinking of doing this to mine, purely for asthetic reasons only. How is the ride (much improved in term of roll, but crashy?) and what was the cost (all in).

Cheers

It feels much more "planted" and the drop enhances the ride feel. I always thought with the standard OEM springs the car stood high and wallowed on certain road surfaces / undulations. Overall very pleased and it looks much better too.....springs + fitting was around 420 pounds as far as I can recall. :D
