fried eggs

Post by S4Paul » Mon Oct 10, 2011 8:50 am

Do you really need to take the car into the garage to get the orange bulbs swapped out for silver (flash orange) bulbs?

I have had a look into the tight :audibash: engine bay and can see the 2 x light covers for the Xenon, high beam and side lights but cant see how you can get to the front indicator bulbs :? anyone know of a trick to sort this out

I can see that the air intact duct will need to come off on the off side but still cant see how after that?

I have look around the site and can only find details on older units with orande lens which need to be but in the oven?!?

this must have been done by all with a B6?

on the B7 you can get to it from behind by removing a couple of screws in the arch linerand reaching in, 15 min job each side id say the B5 would be the same.

I guess you could do the same on the B6 but either way 15mins when you just want to reach in twist and change

My car was getting a service and the chap was replacing the snub mount, i quickly rushed around with the new bulbs and a full set of interior LEDs
I did the interior but dealer did the indicator bulbs whilst the head lights were out. They need an internal clean though, but too hard for me to do.

You could just use a can of black spray to cover them up? I saw this on a B7 RS4 at ADI.

btw im joking, it looked <beep>!
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar
