Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 Versus the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric's

I have seen some cracking deals, like below for the gsd3, and looking at all the various motoring magazine tests carried out, they are rated very high, and also by most, if not all the people on here.

Has anyone had both,the new asymmetrics and the gsd3`s to compare them? as sometimes a new design is not always leaps and bounds better, and we all fall for the technical marketing hype.
can anyone better that price?
if not pls leave some for me!

EVO rated the new F1 Asymetric as their number one tyre in their last tyre test, previosuly the F1 GSD3 was their #1 tyre.
I'm planning on getting a new set of tyres soon but I'm keen try out the Michelin PS2 as they also seem highly rated and possibly may wear less than other tyres too.

IIRC some f1's were made in the far east and are not good quality.....

Had all three types. PS2's have just been replced with the F1 Assy's. Very pleased and cannot fault them.
I thought the PS2's were brilliant, however these new F1's are the business. Just done Vmax and they have not even touched the tread.
They are far quieter than the PS2's and much better in the wet. Dry handling is on par. All round a much better tyre. I still have my GSD3's on my 18" wheels and they are superb as well.

I had the gsd3's on the rs6 when i got it , I never has much confidence in them .I then had ps2's that i loved. They lasted 6k , I've now got F1 assy that are very good .Much better in the wet.

What's the cheapest anyones found for the asymetrics? Camskill do 18s for £99.50 ....

I got four GSD3's put on by Bracknell Tyres a few months ago for £80 a corner inc. vat, valve and balance. I use them for a few vehicles and they are always cheapest by a mile and the service is good too.
The tyres seem to be lasting up well, good in the dry and wet but i do get a bit more noise than i would like. But at £80 fitted i'm very happy!

most say that ps2 are not worth the extra ££..... so it looks like its a thumbs up for the asymetrics.

I just go to my local rubber monkeys, they are the same price as the internet on any quotes I have had including the fitting. Don't see the point in messing around trying to skimp a couple of quid when I can avoid the hassle and support my local businesses too.

Trouble is an estate agent with no tyre fitting experience could fit tyres with less damage to your alloys than some of these clowns. I don't so much mind paying a little premium for tyres, just wish there were more decent fitters around, I'd gladly pay a premium for one of those at every tyre change.
