The RS4 rodbolt is M9 instead of M8.5 hence the big end is smaller on the RS4 and it uses slimmer bearing sheels. Also the wristpin is 21 mm instead of 20mm.

If changing rods, with engine out and expectations of more power, surely it makes sense to fot carillos for that "over engineered" feeling?

Here is a photo of the connection rod bolts. The awkward looking bolt is from RS4.
The
RS4 con rod big end is 56.95 mm, and
S4 is 57.75 mm. The bearing shell thickness is 1.4 mm in RS4, and 1.85 mm in S4. These are not absolutely accurate measurements, but close enough.
The
con rods look quite the same. The wrist pin is the same in both.

No problem!

I forgot to add that the ID of both con rod bearings are the same. So the S4 and RS4 crankshaft measures are the same.
