Well, I've been in the wife's good books for long enough to deserve another mod...should I go for the ARBs or the DTS? Your comments would be muchly appreciated!!

I won't be doing either but if I did it would be the ARB's first

Given the chance I'd do both

I haven't tried a car with DTS fitted but I have personally never found movement in the gearbox a problem so I have fitted ARBs to my car but not the DTS. My vote, therefore, goes for the ARBs which have a huge effect on handling.

Yeah - ARBs if you HAVE to make a choice (but both would be better - depends on how sloppy your box is - fnar fnar)

Will be fitting one now, t'other in a couple of months. Just wondering which has made the most difference to your cars, which has been the most beneficial etc

The 'knock' i used to get when changing gears really wound me up, I would find myself teasing the clutch all the time and going easy on the power to avoid the knock. The DTS made it go away so I don't think about it anymore!

If it doesn't wind you up then go for the ARB's (what's the price of these btw and where from?).

You could always get the ARB's and order the DTS from the states and treat the wife good whilst you wait for it to arrive!

They are two totally different mods designed to cure or aid two totally different aspects of the car (I didn't want to say "flaws"). It's not like saying would you use H&R shocks or Koni's for example. Would all depend on what you want to "cure" or eliminate really. What bugs you the most about your car? Is it body roll or gearbox movement?

Me?...I've done the ARB's and have a DTS waiting to be fitted now.

such a tough choice... I chose ARB's in the end, my write up on the DTS in the S4 forum sums up my thoughts. It is incredible and makes the car feel 5 years younger to drive. The ARB's though make the car an absolute hoot... almost go-kart like, most importantly safer - that is why I chose that in the end. It makes more sense. The DTS though is certainly the very next thing you should have done.

I'd do the ARB's, much better return than the DTS for your £££

h&r arbs where the best thing ever for cornering, they are readily available(MRC, Phillip Walker, etc) and go for approx £320 + fitting. go for the larger ones

What's the model number of the larger ones? How hard is it to fit / get these fitted. I'm in the alps for the season so MRC is out of the question...
