Need help: Aloy lfittment with B7 RS4 Discs & RS6 Callip

Further to some posts a while back regarding which alloys i should buy Im now back to square one.

I was going to purchase a set of 18 inch RS6 style original audi wheels ET 43.

Unfortunalty after trying to fit one of the RS6 wheels onto a members car who already has the brake conversion done, I found that they didnt clear the callipers, even when using a 5mm spacer.

Although I had my mind set on those, I need to find a different wheel.

Im after something that would directly fit onto the S4 without any modifications / spacers. Just a straight bolt on wheel, whilst using the RS4 B7 Discs and the RS6 plus callipers.

If possible could anyone with knowledge of this please list the wheels they know that will clear this setup without any spacers etc. Just straight bolt on.

I know one wheel that fits so far is the OZ super Leggera wheels. Im not sure if the ultra leggera fits though. think someone mentioned BBS do some that fit straight on as well as well as the MTM reps.

Are there any others. please list so I can get my wheels once and for all then buy my brakes.

Also best place to get the wheels at the best price / reliable merchant would be nice too.

Thanks

What about a 19" RS6 style instead of the 18? Not that much price difference.

Yes it was covered before Woody. But I wasonly given few options. BBS and the Oz's.

I wantedto choose something else if possible, as OZ's or BBS would soon have my car missing or put on bricks in the area I live in.

19 inch wheels are too big I feel and not goo for the local road which are full of pot holes.

I would stick to 17;s but its just because I need the RS6 kit I have to go to 18's.

So a list from peope with different straight bolt on alloys would be nice.

As I said its unfortunate the 18 inch RS6 alloys didnt fit. Kinda gutted about that.

As a last resort ill have to go for the BBS or the super leggera, with two or more locking nuts on each wheel. Still need info on best places to get the oz's from and the bbs, on price and reliability just incase I need to get them.

This has been said before, but here we are again :-

MTM bimoto 18" reps - look great, good quality, not expensive, and the ET35 offset with suitably shaped spokes give perfect clearance for those brakes

I know. Was going to buy a set of these but the deal fell though as the seller of the wheels was selling his car and unfortunately the guy buying his car wouldnt take the car unless it had the mtm reps on there.

Tried sourcing another set but couldnt find anything.

Ive not had very good luck at all with this wheel changing.

Saf,
We spoke on the phone about this dude .,... you need ET35 offset wheels ......
you place yr rims at et42 or whatever ---- 7mm spacers will take you to ~ et35 - but still wont go ..?
Just get the correct offset wheels first .....

I think ill be going for the oz super legerra wheels after some hard thinking.

Try Phillip Walker, he did have some oz's for sale, but not sure if they were the same style, I think Phil has had success with his oz fitments/big brakes, give him a call or pm him - he will give you some direction on what fits well.
cheers D

Rolskii - Already talking to Pjil now. Need to give him a call later today. Was offered some BBS CH from him, but after checking the picture of the wheel out, Im not so sure I like the look of them and they look very hard to clean too.

I think Ill either be going for the superleggeras or the RS4 reps B7.

GrimReaper - Do you know if these reps youre using clear the RS4 B7 calipers on an 18 inch wheels? I think they supply offset ET35 on those wheels. Jut wondering if the spoke shape will clear the calipers on an 18 wheel? Also are they exactly the same as the RS4 wheel. Ive noticed some wheels, the spokes go in towards the centre more than others.

Well I can say from personal experience the B7 disc setup will not fit with BBS CH 19's at et35... I have been assured it would though! Very dissapointed. You would be better off going with RS6 discs... cost you a little more first off with the bracket, but then you have far more choice with wheels.
