Anti-Roll Bars for the S4
Anti-Roll Bars for the S4
Hello all,
Planning a trip to MRC and hope to have a new set of ARB's fitted... probably go for 32/22mm ones. I take it most people are using H&R ones?
What have you had before and where did you get 'em?

RE: Anti-Roll Bars for the S4
Leon,
Yes, H&R - I have 32/17, as I was advised that a 21mm (not 22 incidentally) rear bar was too aggressive for everyday use, although they can be set to hard or soft. Although the 17 is only 2mm larger than stock, it does make a difference.
I'm very pleased with my setup (with H&R coilovers), but it's horses for courses - will be interesting to read others' views...

I've got H&R Coilover's and H&R ARB's all fitted by MRC. I cant comment just on the ARB's as i had totaly standard suspension before. I can comment on the whole set up and it's wicked. Transformed my car. I've got 32mm front/21mm rear and they are both on hard settings, cant fault it.
Hmmm, its fast but is it fast enough!!!
I have the eibach springs and dampers which was not really much of an improvement over stock but at least i can now not get my head in between the tyre and the arch
I have recently fitted a set of H&R arbs (32/21mm) both on hard setting and has improved handling 100%. much more confidence going into corners, reduced understeer, corners alot flatter and even on straight or sweeping bends the car feels alot more solid on the road.
Prob the best upgrade if done so far.

I have the 32/21 H&R's on hard settings combined with std shocks/springs. The car is superb in the corners, very well balanced and totally predictable - definitely recommended.
The standard suspension still retains a pliant ride for family trips and speed bumps; could do with firming up suspension travel a bit, but overall very happy

Milltek dual cat-back, gutted downpipes, ECS Tuning stage3 brakes, MRC custom map, H&R ARBs.
MRC seem to suggest going wtih the 22(or 21??) - whichever it is. I think if planning on getting uprated suspension then the 17 wopuld be better, but I dont think I will, so the 22 is probably for me. I shall speak with them about it fully first though

You could try the following (in purely alphabetical order) :-
Awesome GTi
MRC Tuning
Philip Walker Motorsports
Vag-tuner (Regal Autosports)
AMD don't list them on their website, but do supply H&R coilovers, so also worth a try, but they tend not to be the cheapest.
