Best oil for B5 S4???
OK, I'm sure this has been done before, so just a link or 2 will do fine thanks, but try as I might the search facility didn't bring up what I'm looking for...
...which is - which brand do you guys use/prefer, quality/value? (rather than views on which grade should be used in summer, etc)

Ive been told mobile1 0w 40 is best. Fully synthetic.
I wouldnt use anything else. Gives you best of both worlds for summer and winter.
As with any oil, Always take time to warn up car and cool down car, and youll get the best protection from your engine.
I know a lot of guys (Not with S4's) but other turbo charged cars, and theyreally neglect warming up and cooling down. Never get tempted to boot the car when cold, even if it dont seem as its doing damage it is and over time the wear will build up.

5w40 for me as I change mine every 5k max. If you ask Oilman I am sure he wil tell you 0w40 is too thin and to use 5w40 which is spot on unless you do track days then you should use 5w50 or 60. On saying that 60 is too thick for normal road use and can cause probs.
Any good 5w40 will do.
I use Millers but used to use Mobile1 then valvoline but they are way over the top on cost so use millers or Coma 5w40

5w40 is adequate for our climate but 0w40 provides the best protection in colder climates.
