Post by kamming » Wed Oct 19, 2005 3:05 pm

I had vag com my car today and found below fault codes:

16502 - Engine Coolant Temp. Sensor (G62): Signal too High
P0118 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent
17963 - Charge Pressure: Maximum Limit Exceeded

My car is MY00 S4 manual.

Top one is the coolant sensor (about £15.00 and 15 mins to fix), that code generally means it is going to fail soon.
The second one usually means you have a boost leak, have a look at your TBB, dump valves etc....

Doesn't 17963 actually point to a wastegate or N75 problem?

Could be an N75, however I'd check TBB, F hose (might have one MY00?) then recircs. If these are all OK, find someone to pressure test it. If all OK then move to N75.
