Engine Sound on Ignition Off

What sound should an un-modded S4 make when the ignition is switched off?
Mine used to emit a sort of smooth spooling down whistle which would then repeat itself. No idea whether this was right, but it sounded good (!)
After my recent oil service, the sound appears to be alot more abrupt, more of a muted croak than a gradual spool-down.
Any thoughts?

I here two sounds when I switch my car off....
The aircon fan is an electric one which normally runs if the Aircon (climate control) is on. When turning the engine off this slows down fairly slowly and can sound pretty cool.
The other is the main viscous (someone can correct my spelling) which is run from the auxiliary belts. This as a kind of clutch mechanism in it and as the engine stops spinning there is a fair amount of abrupt movement from the engine, this just rattles the mechanism inside. I'm pretty sure this is normal.
Just check to see if you climate control is on Auto either the ECON light off.....
Also I think there is a 3rd fan or one of the fans funs faster depending on engine temperature. Therefore its more prominent as it has more speed to slow from!

like Gav said, try turning your climate control off before shutting the car down and see if the same noise is there. The only sound I hear after turning the engine off is the fan from the climate control. If i turn off the climate control before shutting down, it's pretty much silent.
