Post by bazza » Mon Sep 27, 2004 5:36 pm

The time had come to get a new set of tyres but i decided to treat myself to a set of Oettinger RE's. :D

I love the wheels but im not sure if they suit the car, and i just wanted some feed back off of you guys to see what you think.

Not bad, perhaps doesn't look as anonymous.... saw an S4 estate with the new 18" S4 (B6) alloys on....that looked awesome!

Those look well - nice and subtle. Are those aftermarket brake discs?

I have just recently had her lowered on the standard wheels and she looked a lot lower,
Since I put these wheels on her, it seems to have raised her slightly,

Golfather, I was going to get the kw's off of you but an offer came up on a complete set of eibach suspension and I couldn’t pass it up. Sorry I haven’t been in touch, ive been in between jobs recently and it’s been pretty stressful,

As for the brakes, they are standard Audi disks that have been machined (I think that’s right) and crossed drilled, I had such a nightmare trying to find a good set of after market disks that I went for this option, I also went for the ceramic pads all round and I must say that its so much better than standard.

Thanks for the feed back guys

Cheers

My New Wheels

Any alloy looks better than 'standard' wheels but I'm afraid these are not my cup of tea (just being honest). That's not to say they do not look good to others (i.e. yourself) but just not for me.

I don't think you can really beat the old RS4 (nine spoke) a la TT wheels. They look the business and any Audi!

They are ok (its a personal thing) I like the standard S4 wheels but I particularly like the RS4 wheels.

I think they look pretty smart too.
Anyone know where to get a set of RS4 wheels (or replicas) that will fit the S4 (B5)?
