If Doug has found a supplier I should have a new number plate as well with the letters etc laser cut for better flow
Am i being stupid? what is this?

take off the number plate..remove a section of bunper that sits behind the plate to reveal the FMIC..then cut out the black lettering/numbers from the plate to reveal the FMIC when the plate is put back on..cos the FMIC is black the number plate looks normal..where if fact its the FMIC thats giving the plates letters /numbers there black original look..no restriction of air by having a plate there cos the air flows through the number plates lettering/numbers..

i have used mesh previously, painted white then paint the letters/numbers on,gives a bit more flow than just the flow through the letters

Well, after a long day at Doug's I finally got to drive the car home and find out what it was like...awesome! Much more available boost and it just feels so much quicker. Couldn't believe the amount of work involved in the front mount...lots of cutting and grinding, fabricating brackets etc. Very impressed with the quality of the pipework and the intricate angles required for it all to fit so well. :nodder:
A quick sprint up the MRC test track with Doug on his laptop and its now running really well with the map 'tweaked' a little.
Big thanks mate, well worth the efforts (you not me!). Also had an APR Bi-pipe fitted and some new 710Ns.
Waiting for the number plate to complete the package!

Nice to meet you today mate. Glad it's running nicely. Hope you show the boys at Thorney how it should be done!

Does an FMIC mean loss off aircon radiator? Will be having my S4 in bits next year for a KO4 conversion and would love to have one of these!

I think the aircon radiator is usually moved into the space where one of the old IC's was.

Air con rad stays but you lose the fan associated to the rad. Don't know of anyone who's had a problem with the removal though and you can install a couple of smaller fans as Doug has to his.

when the air-con fan is removed..what happens to the after run pump mod..although the water will be circulating via the aux pump..there is no fan to cool it down..or has the electric fan on the other side of the rad been wired in to accomidate this...
